Large, flat regions of reclaimed land make cycling a great way to get around in Holland. Added to this Dutch cliché, are the clogs, windmills and blazing fields of tulips which seem to have jumped out of a picture postcard.
The Dutch are famous of course for their dairy products and superb sweet snacks, but a traditional main course in Holland can be very heavy and meaty. Beer is the staple drink, served cool with Heineken being one of the better known brands.
